The Actual Shooter’s Sworn Affidavit

AFFIDAVIT

ROGER CAMERON, being duly sworn, deposes and says:

That I am writing this affidavit with regard to the accidental shooting death of Angel Lawrence, on November 9, 1995.  At the time of the shooting, I was a member of a gang known as the “Gansta Disciples”. My Co-Defendant, Mr. Josh Puckett, was never a part of that gang, but was a member in another gang called “The Insane Gangster Mafia”.

At the time of the shooting, he was not in the car, nor was he the shooter. I in fact was the actual shooter, although I never ever intended to shoot or kill anyone, only I was shooting at a building, which we were told was unoccupied.  Mr. Puckett never gave me any orders to shoot at the building, or anyone for that matter.  He could not because we belonged to different gangs, thus he had no authority over me.  The order to shoot the building did not come from Josh Puckett, it came from Brandon Sorski, aka “40 Ounce”, a known gang leader who also was arrested that evening.  During the shooting, I actually shot at a basement window, were we know no one was present.  I was afraid that I might hurt someone, and was very reluctant to shoot, once we began circling the building.

On the night of this incident, Mr. Puckett, was planning to go to the movies with Ms. Natalie Golem, who was also at the Apartment/Duplex in Southwest Detroit.  I am so very sorry that my actions resulted in the unintentional death of Angel Lawrence.  If called upon to testify, I would state and affirm all of the above mentioned statements.

I swear under penalty of perjury that the aforementioned statements are true to the best of my knowledge, information and belief.
